Tayong Dalawa Summary

David "JR" Garcia, Jr. (Gerald Anderson) was born into a poor family. His father, David Garcia Sr. deserted his mother, Marlene (Cherry Pie Picache) before he was born because his wife, Ingrid Garcia (Agot Isidro) was pregnant with David "Dave" Garcia, Jr. (Jake Cuenca). When Audrey King (Kim Chiu) and her family went to Tagytay for a visit, she fell from a set of high stairs. If it wasn't for David "JR" Garcia Jr., she probably would have died. She asked for the young boy's name and the boy introduced himself as David Garcia, Jr. When she gets to the hospital and is asked by the witnesses and her family who saved her, she says it's David Garcia, Jr. but David "Dave" Garcia Jr. was credited for it. Audrey did not realize that he is a different boy.

As she grows up falling in love with Dave, Dave meets his best friend and later on, his brother, JR. Their families did not approve of the friendship. Dave's family thought that JR just wanted to use Dave for money purposes. Dave & JR's mother's would not let the two hang out. But their father allowed the friendship to continue, because there was something about JR that David Sr. liked. Dave's grandmother, Elizabeth (Helen Gamboa), suspects and so does JR's mother, Marlene, but nothing stops these two from becoming best friends. When everyone found out that Dave & JR are siblings, the family rivalry became worse. Elizabeth, Dave's grandmother did everything to make sure that the news about the siblings won't come out. She lied and schemed for Marlene, JR's mother, to go to jail. Audrey's father then sent her to Cebu to continue her studies until such time that JR met Audrey in the airport. He feels like he has seen her before, but does not realize who she is. When Dave and JR were sent to the PMA (Philippine Military Academy), they started to get competitive with each other, in academics, and for their true love. When they finally got into battle, will brotherhood save them both, or will envy leave them both to die? Audrey has grown up in love with the wrong person, but when she realizes who her true savior is, she is able to return her love. She agrees to marry Dave, but this ends in a divorce when they found out their marriage is a fake. Audrey then marries JR and with him has a son, Adrian. But it is revealed that she has a sickness of the heart and in the end Audrey dies because of her worsening heart condition, leaving only JR all by himself with Adrian, sacrificing herself for her son to live. On its ending, Ramon(Coco Martin) summons himself to prison for him to pay for his wrongdoings upon the request of his distraught mother. Accidentally, Ingrid (who was not in her right state of mind) shoots Ramon using a gun. Ramon was hit near to his eyes and has undergone operations, after the said operation, he was already blind. Ingrid is then turned in to a mental hospital by Dave, and Ramon is sentenced to life imprisonment. However, he has accepted his fate, has made up with Marlene and JR, and acknowledged Dave as a brother, who acknowledged him back. The three now live together with Adrian, Ula, and Angela, visiting Ramon frequently. It seems to be a happy ending, but a scene is shown of someone cutting pictures of the main characters, then holding up a picture of Marlene. This is later revealed to be Emmy Garcia, a third wife of David Garcia Sr., who introduces her son, named David Anthony Garcia III to Marlene, JR, and Dave.

Hmm..Tayong dalawa..My favorite telenobela.. kasi I can really relate.. I love the suspense, the comedy and everything..one time nga napaiyak pa ako eh.. nung namatay si lola gets,(Gina Pareno) kasi marami siyang ginawa na giid things in her family, actually siya pa nga yung positive eh, kung wala talaga siya, di mabubuo yung show. I also idolize Ramon(Coco Martin), coz he's the best actor, parang siya yung gumagawa talaga ng suspense. Talagang supergaling niya. Pero yung love story nila JR and Audrey, yun ayaw ko yun..medyo boring kasi eh, no offense ah.. But overall, This telenobela was the best, hoping for a part 2! :DD
